Collection of shop hammers and mallets including ball-peen hammers, soft-face mallets, brass-head hammers, a soft metal mallet, and a double-face sledgehammer. Markings include a steel ball-peen hammer stamped "SUPER DUTY", "U.S.A.", "3 LB"; green soft-face mallets stamped "GARLAND", "NO. 5", "SACO, MAINE" with replaceable striking faces, including one detached mallet head; a hammer stamped "KITZMAN MFG. CO."; and a barrel-shaped soft metal mallet marked "MICH DETROIT". Materials include forged steel, brass, soft metal, and green-painted metal bodies mounted on wooden handles, along with a miniature brass mallet with a knurled metal shaft. Observable wear includes scuffs, scratches, impact marks, and deformation on striking faces, a vertical crack through the center of the soft metal hammer head, paint chipping on mallet bodies, surface oxidation and pitting on steel heads, and finish wear, discoloration, and chipping on wooden handles.
